Presentation - Friday 15th April, 1:50 - 3:00 pm
With Melinda Seal, Totara Hospice South Auckland
How to engage in a successful Youth Ambassador Program for your fundraising department.
The Totara Hospice Youth Ambassador Program has been running for 2 years now, learn how to engage and activate youth involvement in your charity. Provide opportunities for students and their networks to engage with you. Build awareness for your charity amongst 10 - 18 year olds. Hints and tips of how to effectively communicate and setup the program. Then have an interactive session where we actually get the Youth Ambassadors along to ask questions - a great opportunity for fundraisers to directly talk to the students and youth in schools now.
Major learning outcomes include:
- How the Hospice Program was engaging, how to communicate with with those involved, ideas of interaction that have been done, and the results therein
- An interactive session with the students where they can share why they choose to volunteer and help hospice / charities. How to communicate with them, what they don't like etc.
